Our Team

We opened Swimtastic Swim School in Omaha in 2005 when our oldest of 5 kids were ages 2 and 4. We realized that there was a need for swim lessons using specially trained instructors in an environment perfectly suited for young children to enjoy swim lessons. Meagan had taught swim lessons her entire life and had a real passion for introducing the life skill of swimming to children. All children should be able to feel safe around water and enjoy the lifetime benefits of knowing how to swim.

My swim story started long ago when I was a child. I have always been drawn to the water and spent all the time I could in a pool. I joined my high school swim team and loved every second of it! I love to be able to share my love of swimming with each child that comes through our doors. Swimming is a skill that they can take with them and use their whole lives. I am also a mother to 2 young girls and understand the importance of also teaching water safety to each and every student. Being able to see the kids grow and become swimmers is so rewarding and is the reason I come in every day!

My journey with swimming began when my cousin suggested I work here. I did not have a lot a swimming experience before I worked here, but have always loved the water. I quickly fell in love with the sport and teaching swimming. I love being able to teach such an important life skill and watching the kids grow as swimmers. Outside of Swimtastic I like to spend time reading and playing with my cat. Teaching swimming and working with kids has become the highlight of my life.
