Avoid the Fall Season Fall Off

This summer has been great at Swimtastic Swim Schools for our swimmers and families. Summer, as the warmest season of the year, allows swimmers to practice water skills outside of our lessons. Outdoor pools, water parks, and natural bodies of water like oceans and lakes are readily accessible when it's warm outside and we are always sad to see summer go. When the seasons change, it is not uncommon to see our swimmers swim patterns change as well; specifically related to the reduced frequency of being in the water. Have no fear there are year-round options that your swimmer can do to help minimize the effect of losing pool/water time and hitting the Fall-fall off.

Swimtastic Stories: I Needed a Job and I Had No Idea What to Expect!

Swimtastic Stories:
I Needed a Job and I Had No Idea What to Expect!

I needed a job! A year and a half ago, I was a stay at home mom of two girls, Autumn, now 11, and Kiley, now 5. I love my girls like crazy, but I was going crazy running them to school and to one activity after another. I needed an escape for just a few hours a week. I needed a job! I needed something flexible. I wanted something fun. I was a waitress for years and was over that. I worked in a corporate office setting for years. I was over that as well. I was lost and had no idea what I wanted to do. I saw two posts on a Facebook page. One for a cleaning position (yuck) and another for Swimtastic (which I thought, please let there but only office work to do because I do not want to swim). I applied to both. I interviewed for the cleaning job and she called back a few days later and asked if I wanted the position. I told her I needed to talk it over with my husband and I'd call her back. That same day Swimtastic called and I did a phone interview with them. After the interview, I was asked if I could come in and interview in person. I told them I have two girls at home so it would need to be when my husband was home or if I can find a sitter. They said, bring the girls in, we would love to meet them. I was floored. I knew right then and there that I had to have this job!

Swimtastic is All About Relationships:
Do You Know What the Teachers Think?

When you think of Swimtastic what comes to mind? Do you just think of swim lessons or another stop in your busy week? From our customers' view, it is a neat place to take your kids for swim lessons. This is where your kids are going to learn to swim. This is the place where they are going to get over their fear of water. But, have you seen the other side of it? Do you know what the teachers think and how much they are really a part of your kids' lives, or even how much your kids have impacted us? Swimtastic is all about building healthy relationships - with the community, with the water and swimming, with one another, and among ourselves. Those relationships start with your kids but they are also a huge part of supporting the school's friendly, family atmosphere.
